Brief: Use one of three vehicle templates using the pen tool.
A fun illustrator exercise that provided some good practice with the pen tool and made much easier with the shape builder tool.
This was a iron pour I had the opportunity to do during my foundations classes. Pushing the subject off the square mold was a risk of the mold failing during the pour. There were some elements that didn’t make it into the sculpture as well as I planned like some rib bones and teeth but overall very happy with the way this turned out venturing into strange lands on the first floor.
Side Quests
This is a category of some miscellaneous projects that don’t really have a home anywhere else. That doesn’t mean they aren’t important. Everyone knows the easiest way to beat the next boss is to do your side quests and level-up before you continue the story.
Brief: Create a word or phrase using interlocking letters in Illustrator.
More illustrator practice with this interlocking lettering, uniform spacing was the goal, the horizontal uniformity was my own decision.
Brief: Paint a realistic image of a packed design using watercolor paints.
This is one of my first attempts with watercolor painting. There is definitely room to improve but I had fun painting this Red Bull can. I have some other subject I am planning on painting just to get more practice with this medium.
